Amsterdam- Week 9

Updated: May 17, 2019

After the rush of Dutch Design Week, myself and Studio Cosima felt inspired and anted to come up with new ideas to reach our Customers.

Working with Klavyio

This week, Larissa introduced me to her online newsletter platform Klaviyo. Its used to create, schedule and monitor the amount of reactions from customers who receive the newsletter. Being able to see the outcome from the newsletter is extremely useful as you can see which newsletter had the most interactions and which didn’t work well.

On this online platform you can also get up email flows. This was interesting to look into and schedule. Email flows are set up to alert people of cart abandonment, welcoming them to the Studio Cosima family once they have signed up to the newsletters and thank you for your order. The email flows are set to send the emails to customers only if they haven’t received an email from Studio Cosima within 24 hours. This helps customers not to be spammed with emails but also means that our emails won’t be automatically marked as spam in the customers inbox.

I've never used this platform before so this was interesting to learn and play with. I had tho think of the kind of newsletters I would like to receive instead of newsletters which just end up in spam.

Building blocks of making a newsletter

I was tasked with producing newsletters about our discount for the holiday season. From this sale there was many obstacles as Studio Cosima’s Web shop isn’t coded for seasonal sales. Therefore, this meant that editing the coding on the web shop was needed to be able to discount Studio Cosima’s Products. But here is what I've made ready for the season sale!
